Use the table below to determine the height and width of the ad you'd like to run. Then simply multiply its height in inches x its number of columns in width.
For example, an ad 6" in height x 4 columns wide = 24 "column-inches" (or 1/4-page) in size. Using the rate card below, the corresponding number is the amount your ad will cost each week it runs at different commitment levels. For instance, if you agree to run a 1/4-page ad 13 times over the next 52 weeks, it will cost $185 each week it runs.
If you already have a monthly budget in mind, you can also work off the rate card. For example, if you want to spend $200 per month for the next 12 months, the rate card shows you can place a 1/8-page ad every-other-week (26x) for that price; $100 every week it runs. There are a lot of different ways for us to make your budget work!
Color charge: The above costs are for black-and-white ads. Add 30% to the above if you'd like your ad to run in color. Please check with our office for color availability.
Advertising deadlines:
• If you need an ad created, please contact us by Thursday mornings for the following week's edition to allow enough time to create your ad and get your approval.
• If you're providing your own camera-ready ad (fully completed .pdf or .jpeg file), the ad space should be confirmed by Thursday mornings and your materials are needed by Monday at noon, preferably earlier.
• For editions near holidays, the space and material deadlines are typically 1-2 days earlier. Please call our office at 219-662-8888 to discuss.
Free-standing Inserts: There are two separate cost
items for FSIs: 1) the cost of printing the actual inserts, and 2) a
charge to insert your finished printed product into the
newspaper. The client is responsible for ensuring inserts are shipped
and delivered to our newspaper printing facility by the due date. We will work with you to make that happen.
Please call us at 219-662-8888 if you need a local printing vendor for your inserts.
